Since its chartering, Kappa Omega Zeta has continuously supported the Sorority’s national initiatives (the latest being Z-HOPE) by implementing unique and effective community service projects and initiatives, and promoting the founding principles and projecting the Zeta ideal of Finer Womanhood throughout the community in which it serves. Our workshops and service projects deal with a variety of issues including health and wellness, financial management, career development, and simply meeting the basic needs of women and children.
Kappa Omega Zeta Chapter has made numerous contributions (both monetarily and of time) to causes and organizations such as the United Negro College Fund, March of Dimes (March for Babies and Prematurity Awareness Month), the Leukemia Society, Habitat for Humanity, Christian Haitian Outreach, Adopt-A-Highway, American Cancer Society, LPGA Championship (Ronald McDonald House Charities), Laurel House, Cradles to Crayons, Books for Bars, Greater Norristown Police Athletic League, and The Salvation Army.
Stork’s Nest
Kappa Omega Zeta’s Stork’s Nest was established in 1999 at Roosevelt High School in Norristown, PA. This long lasting relationship with school administration, staff and students has allowed the organization to effectively impact the lives of young expectant mothers through providing necessities for their children, and serving as positive role models.
